A Daily Detox Routine

When we think of detox programs, we think of days of just juices, or limiting our nutrition intake for the benefit of loosing a few pounds that will return later. There are other ways to detox daily on a regular basis so that you don’t need to challenge yourself to just the starvation diet. Ayurveda medicine’s process of detoxifying the body is called panchakarma. ( treatment involving, massage, herbal therapy as well as other treatments. These are done by a experienced Ayurveda practitioner. On a daily basis you can perform some of these amazing self care treatments as well as making a few adjustments with lifestyle routine to purify and rejuvenate the body, mind and spirit.

  1. Sleep ~ Sleep is necessary because it allows the nervous system to contact the higher vibratory rates of consciousness and replenish and rejuvenate. 7-9 hours of uninterrupted sleep.

  2. Abyhanga ~ Self body oil massage, relaxing to the nervous system as well as detoxification to the tissues and the skin (the largest organ that is a big part of our detoxing system).

  3. CCF wise water ~ 1/4 tsp. of cumin, 1/4 tsp. of coriander, 1/4 tsp. of Fennel seeds. steep in hot water. drink throughout the day, stopping at 6:00pm. Think of it as your tea of choice.

  4. Pranyama ~ When we practice different breath patterns as in slowing the breath, or fast breathing, elongating, and holding or constricting, and fully releasing the breath, it is very purifying to the body.

  5. Panchakarma ~ Ayurvedic purification therapy, through massage, Rasayanas or special Ayurvedic and mineral substances such as Armit Kalash.
